Included with garden admission; free to RHS Members and children under 5. Children aged 5–16 only £5.

Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare have hopped over to join us at RHS Harlow Carr for a magical garden adventure. Until 31 December 2025, enjoy discovering our interactive, hands-on garden trail and activities based on the well-loved children’s book by Sam McBratney and Anita Jeram.

Bringing the beautiful story and illustrations to life, the RHS has partnered with Walker Books for the 30th anniversary celebration of Guess How Much I Love You™.

Sparking curiosity and a sense of exploration, discover playful, sensory activities and photo opportunities along the trail. As you follow Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare around the garden, re-enact precious moments from the book – can you bounce as high and stretch as wide as Little Nutbrown Hare? And investigate colours, textures and shapes found in the garden, all while learning about nature, growing and the changing seasons.

Available daily throughout the year, the trail will also run alongside our school holiday activities, including an Easter adventure to crack the egg-nigma code!

“I love you as high as I can HOP!”
laughed Little Nutbrown Hare, bouncing up and down.
