Train to Harrogate Station with Northern and LNER

Harrogate Train Station is 1.5 miles from RHS Harlow Carr, and can be accessed by bus, bike, on foot or by taxi.

LNER run direct trains from London Kings Cross to Harrogate every couple of hours.

Northern offer regular trains to Harrogate from Leeds to the south and York to the East in approx. 30 minutes in both directions. From these stations you can transfer to trains across the north of England and into Scotland.

Bus service from Harrogate

The Harrogate Bus Company runs the regular 6 bus from Harrogate Bus Station in the town centre to RHS Harlow Carr, reaching the garden in 15 minutes. Catch buses from the pick-up called ‘Harlow Grange’ on Otley Road, a short 4-minute walk to the garden entrance.

Fares are £2 maximum (single fare guaranteed) until the end of 2024. Holders of national concessionary travel pass travel free. Bus tickets can be purchased onboard from the driver or online from the operator’s website.
