About the garden

Spanning 58 acres, RHS Garden Harlow Carr is a beautiful space with great history, real character, and lots to discover. Wander around the Queen Mother’s Lake, a haven for visitors and wildlife alike, with its soft plantings, wildflower meadow and majestic trees.

Then meander along the lush banks of Streamside, through the heart of the garden, and into the historic Bath House. Don’t miss the Alpine House, home to more than 2,000 plants, or the tranquil Sandstone Rock Garden. The vibrant Sub-Tropicana Garden will transport you to exotic climes.

  • Free refreshment voucher and entry to the garden for the coach driver (not applicable on RHS Affiliated Society group bookings)
  • Access to mobility aids to assist your group around our gardens (refundable deposit required)
  • Two carer places free of charge for those accompanying visitors whose disability necessitates their support
  • RHS members in-group receive free entrance to the garden and can bring one guest free of charge
  • RHS Affiliated Societies receive one free visit as a group per year to one RHS Garden for up to a maximum of 55 visitors

*Garden admission prices are based on groups of 15 or more arriving by coach/minibus. **Garden admission VIP prices are based on groups of 14 or less, and don’t vary in price depending on the adult and child ratio of the group.
