Orchid Show at RHS Garden Wisley

Celebrate beautiful and exotic orchids at RHS Garden Wisley in 2025. Meet specialist growers, buy quality plants and hear from orchid experts

Taking place at RHS Garden Wisley in the Hilltop Garden Room, join us for the RHS Orchid Show, where growers from across the country will exhibit their finest orchids and provide expert advice. The show offers everything needed to nurture a passion for growing these colourful and exotic houseplants.

Orchids, growing essentials and gifts are available for purchasing at the RHS Garden Centre, and you can also find orchid-inspired artwork for sale.

Tickets are included with garden admission.

Displays and awards

Visit the RHS Orchid Show and admire breathtaking orchid displays. Exhibits will be judged by RHS judges, with awards presented for the Best Orchid Exhibit, Best Hybrid Orchid, and The Sander Cup for Best Specimen Orchid.

You will also have the chance to listen to RHS Hilltop Live talks and don’t forget to visit the RHS Wisley orchid house within the Glasshouse.

Friday 14 March

  • 11.30am: Weird and Wonderful Orchids – Jean Barker, experienced amateur orchid grower
  • 12.30pm: Growing orchids nature’s way – Simon Pugh-Jones, Isle of Portland Orchids and former director of Writhlington School Orchid Project
  • 2.30pm: Australian Dendrobium at RHS Wisley – Hugo Danckwerts, horticulturist at RHS Garden Wisley Glasshouse

Saturday 15 March

  • 12noon: Live orchid painting demonstration – Deborah Lambkin, RHS Orchid Artist

Library displays

On Friday 14 March, stop by the library and join a Treasures Tour focused on orchids starting at 10.30am.

A selection of orchid-related items from the library collection will be on display throughout the three days of the Show, and a display of orchid paintings from the RHS Digital Collections will be showcased on a screen in the Garden Room. Plus, the RHS Herbarium will give the unique chance to see orchid specimens.
