Crack the Easter Egg-nigma code and enjoy fun family activities at the RHS Gardens this Easter holidays

This year, the RHS Easter egg hunts have an egg-citing new twist! As well as the classic egg hunting quest, children can turn detective and solve the ‘egg-nigma’ code* as they seek out colourful eggs hidden in the beautiful RHS Gardens.

Garden admission applies; free to RHS Members and children under 5. Children aged 5–16 just £5 for entry.

*A £2.50 charge applies per child for a code-breaker pack and chocolate treat.

Find the eggs, solve the mystery

Get your code-breaker packs* on arrival to crack the code. Each giant egg you find will reveal a symbol. Translate the symbols and combine with clues from the other eggs to solve the puzzle. Cunning code crackers get a yummy chocolate treat for solving the challenge!

You can also enjoy storytelling, arts and crafts workshops and planting activities, as well as the delightful Guess How Much I Love You™ garden adventure trail inspired by the much-loved children’s story from Walker Books.

Book ahead and save

We’ve reduced the cost of garden entry for kids aged 5 to 16 years to just £5, and under 5s go for free. Adults can also save on garden entry when booking tickets online in advance.

Monday 7 – Sunday 27 April 2025

Find all the clues to solve the mystery, then watch the inventive, engaging and tons of fun Curious Investigators. Take in a magical bubble show, make a spring chicken puppet, an Easter bunny or create your own adventure with magical story jars.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr

Saturday 5 – Monday 21 April 2025

Seek out clues near the giant Easter eggs and join the Garden Detectives on their search for signs of spring with stories, games and challenges. Enjoy story yoga, forest school workshops, make an Easter basket and more.

RHS Garden Rosemoor

Saturday 5 – Monday 21 April 2025

Get code cracking in the daffodils and find all the eggs to earn a yummy treat! Plant a chocolate sunflower, take a welly walk, make chocolate scented slime, watch a puppet show and even meet the Easter Bunny.

Find the brightly coloured eggs and crack the code for a chocolate treat. Take in a giant bubble show and enjoy some fabulous Easter-themed storytelling.
