Easter holiday fun at RHS Bridgewater

Come on a giant Easter egg hunt and enjoy fun family activities at RHS Garden Bridgewater

Join the fun of the giant egg hunt this Easter at RHS Garden Bridgewater, to win a chocolate prize and discover the garden in all its spring glory.

Garden admission applies. Free to RHS members and children under 5 (activities are included unless marked *).

The giant Easter egg hunt

Friday 29 March – Sunday 14 April
10am–4pm, daily, in the garden

Follow the hunt around the garden to find the hidden giant Easter Eggs. Each egg has been hand painted by artists Cath Ford and Alastair price based on designs by local school children.

Once you’ve found all the eggs, you’ll be rewarded with a free chocolatey treat from NOMO - The UK’s No. 1 Vegan & ‘Free From’ Chocolate Brand.

Suitable for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

Easter craft

Tuesday 2 April, Thursday 11 and Friday 12 April
12.30pm–3pm, Events Marquee (drop-in sessions)

Tuesday: Carrot Cards – come and enjoy designing and creating your own Carrot Card to give to a friend or family member to celebrate Spring time.

Thursday and Friday: Easter egg coasters – after being inspired by our GIANT Easter Eggs, come and create your own design on a cork coaster.

Flock – Bread and Butter Theatre Company

Friday 29 March - Monday 1 April
11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm (show 30 mins)

Meet Heidi and Henrietta, two Herdwick sheep who have ventured down from the Lakeland fells to graze and proudly show off their quintuplet lambs nestled in a beautiful old-fashioned pram. They aim to bring the serenity and beauty of the Cumbrian hills to towns, events and agricultural shows (who knows, they may even win a rosette). Soothing music and surprising sound effects will emanate from the pram and delight audiences.

Grow your own bird feeder

Wednesday 3, Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 April
12.30pm–3pm, Learning Studios (drop-in sessions)

Learn about what plants are best to create natural bird feeders; plant a seed of one of these plants to take away and grow your own bird feeder.

Suitable for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

Bird spotter trail

Monday 25 March – Sunday 14 April
Self-led tour in the garden (Note: this event has started earlier than other events)


Armed with a spotter sheet, follow a trail around the garden looking out for a number of laser-cut birds, all in locations where real birds might choose to nest. Great fun for the whole family.

Storytelling with Colour the Clouds

Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April
11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm, Events Marquee

Join Colour the Clouds for an interactive sensory storytelling of a spring-filled story. Each performance is 30 minutes.

Suitable for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

Easter Garden Adventure

Friday 5 April, 11am, 12.15pm and 1.30pm  SORRY, THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT

Join us for a garden adventure for little explorers (approx. 45 mins long)

*£2.50 per child; booking required (meeting point specified upon booking)
