Group visits to RHS Rosemoor

Set in the beautiful Torridge Valley between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon, South West of England, makes for the perfect day out for groups

About the garden

Gifted to the RHS by Lady Anne Berry in 1988, RHS Garden Rosemoor spans 65 stunning acres. Breathe in the sweet-smelling scents of more than 250 varieties of blooms in the two Rose Gardens – The Queen Mother’s Rose Garden and the Shrub Rose Garden. For those curious about crops, there are delectable edibles in the Fruit and Vegetable Garden.

Head to the vibrant Hot Garden, famed for sizzling colours of reds, oranges and yellows, with waves of plants chosen for heat and vibrancy. If the heat gets too much, retreat to the serene pastels and blues of the Cool Garden, a tranquil Eden around a teardrop-shaped pond.

Why visit the garden?

  • Discover two outstanding rose gardens – The Queen Mother’s Rose Garden, featuring modern roses, and the Shrub Rose Garden, planted with old traditional roses
  • Be wowed by the Hot Garden living up to its name, with intensity and waves of plants chosen for their heat and vibrancy
  • Rejuvenate in the Cool Garden designed by multi-award-winning garden designer Jo Thompson with its calm colour palette focusing on water and the reflective element of the space

“When visiting Rosemoor we were like children in a sweet shop – we didn’t know which route to take. It was all so inviting, with delicious herbaceous borders, peep-through hedges & fruit trees. We also paused for tea at Rosemoor House. A lovely visit, everything you would expect of the RHS.”
