Gifted to the RHS by Lady Anne Berry in 1988, the garden consisted of a house, the 3.2ha (8 acre) garden around the house and 13ha (32 acres) of pastureland. Since then, it has evolved and developed into the garden our visitors see and enjoy today.
Nestled in the North Devon Torridge Valley, Rosemoor is an enchanting place to visit and blends formal and informal planting to magical effect. The garden has expanded over the years and there are now more than 65 acres of garden to explore. If you can’t cover everything in a day, why not become a member and enjoy as many visits as you like.
Rosemoor is designed to provide year-round interest and inspiration to all gardeners and garden lovers. From the cherry tree blossom in spring, the iconic Hot Garden dazzling with vibrant colours in summer, the woodland ablaze with autumn finery and the Winter Garden sparkling later in the year – you’ll be sure to get plenty of inspiration.

The Rosemoor Garden Centre is the perfect place to find top-quality plants, gifts and homeware, plus great ideas for the home and garden. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, our dedicated retail team will do their best to source it and reserve it for you when it’s available.
Not only are we a fantastic day out for walks, horticulture and picnics, we also have hundreds of events all year round – there is something for everyone. Our Rosemoor Flower Show and spectacular Glow are just some of the experiences you won’t want to miss.
Rosemoor House offers three luxurious holiday apartments, 365 days a year. The Magnolia, Camellia and Azalea apartments are set within the former home of Lady Anne Palmer, offering unique access to the garden outside normal opening hours.
At Rosemoor, you can exchange vows in one of seven romantic venues throughout the garden, each licensed to hold wedding ceremonies. All have their own unique charm, and each provides a beautiful backdrop for wedding photographs and for your guests to enjoy.
