Dog-friendly visits to RHS Rosemoor

Starting in March 2025, we’re trialling dog-friendly days at RHS Garden Rosemoor. Dogs will be welcome every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in selected areas of the garden

About the trial

From 17 March to 17 September 2025, we’re welcoming dogs to RHS Garden Rosemoor every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as part of a pilot scheme to increase dog-friendly visits to the garden. During the trial, dog-walking visitors can bring up to two dogs per adult to explore selected areas of the garden. Dogs must be kept on short leads and with paws on paths at all times.

This six month trial is in response to the volume of requests we receive to allow more dog-friendly access to the garden, and follows the success of our popular Walkies evenings.

We understand that while some people love dogs, others really value the ability to visit a garden they know is pet free. This is why dogs can only visit on designated days (Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and dog access is restricted to selected areas of the 65-acre garden.

We’re collecting feedback from garden visitors both with and without dogs during the trial to fully inform any decision about the pilot’s success. Comments can be submitted via the online survey below.

Please note, the survey is made available through Survey Monkey on behalf of the RHS. Both the RHS and Survey Monkey privacy and cookies policies will apply.
