The first of our propagation workshops for 2027, this course is an ideal starting point for gardeners who would like to learn how to raise new plants from seed and cuttings. Plant propagation can be both rewarding and economical, helping you increase your plant collection and share plants with friends and fellow gardeners.

The day will cover seed sowing in pots, trays and outdoor seed beds, together with an introduction to taking cuttings from a range of plants. You will also explore the key factors that influence success, including compost selection, propagation environments, lighting, plant hygiene and seasonal timing.

Andrew will be on hand throughout to answer questions and share practical advice. By the end of the day, you will have a better understanding of the principles behind successful propagation and will take home a propagator filled with your own cuttings and seedlings.

Please Note:  There will be contact with compost, so covering of cuts and scratches is advised.
