Fabulous Fungi

Did you know the world's largest organism is a fungus? Or that they are more closely related to animals than plants? From woodlands and grasslands to sand dunes and glaciers, different species of fungi can be found in almost all ecosystems having colonised land roughly 1.3 billion years ago!

Join us at RHS Harlow Carr library as we delve into their mysterious world.  A fascinating short talk led by the Mid-Yorkshire Fungus Group will be followed by an expert-led fungus foray to see what can be found in the beautiful gardens at RHS Harlow Carr.

Please note some parts of the terrain will be steep and uneven at times. Please wear suitable footwear.
