Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare are hopping over to RHS Garden Rosemoor in 2025. Starting in February half term, and lasting all year, enjoy discovering an interactive garden trail and activities based on the well-loved children’s book Guess How Much I Love You™.

With storytelling, a guided welly walk and planting and craft workshops too, there’s plenty to keep all the family busy this holiday.

Garden admission applies; free to RHS members and children under 5. Children aged 5–16 only £5 entry. Additional charges apply to activities marked *.

Guess How Much I Love You™ – A Garden Adventure

Daily, from Saturday 15 February until the end of 2025

Starting on Saturday 15 February and continuing all year, explore the Guess How Much I Love You™ – A Garden Adventure trail following Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare around the garden. Bounce, hop and stretch like Little Nutbrown Hare, investigate colours, textures and shapes found in the garden, and learn about nature, growing and the changing seasons.

Bringing the beautiful story and illustrations to our gardens, the RHS have partnered with Walker Books for the 30th anniversary celebration of Guess How Much I Love You™ by Sam McBratney and Anita Jeram.

Craft and planting activities

Monday 17 – Friday 21 February
Drop in from 10.30am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 3.45pm, Garden Room


Try a different craft or planting activity each weekday, including growing your own carrots, making a paper hug, drawing a hare portrait, making a hare puppet and creating a stained glass window hare.

Suitable for all ages (must be accompanied by an adult)

Puppet theatre – Along Came a Magpie*

Monday 17 February
40-minute show at ​11am and 2pm, Small Garden Room


In the intimate setting of a potting shed, we meet our gardener. She loves the smell of flowers, the feel of the earth and watching her plants bloom. But along came a magpie who turns her potting shed upside down!

*£2.50 per child, £1 per adult. Recommended for ages 7 and under (must be accompanied by an adult). Booking required:

Wednesday 19 February
10.30am – 12noon and 2pm – 3.30pm


Explore the garden in late winter with the Education Team and enjoy a craft or planting activity and a story.

Enjoy the heartwarming story of Guess How Much I Love You™ as Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare try to measure their love for each other.

Face painting

Wednesday 19 February
Drop in from 10.30am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 3.30pm, Garden Room


Transform into your favourite creature or decorate your face with flowers with nature-themed face painting.

Suitable for all ages (must be accompanied by an adult)

Storytelling and workshop – At the Bottom of Dudley’s Garden

Thursday 20 February
40-minute sessions at 10.30am, 12noon, 2pm and 3.15pm, Small Garden Room


Why do bees and butterflies love the bottom of Dudley’s garden? Hear the beautiful story about the hidden world of wildflowers and pollinators, then create your own butterfly or colour in Dudley’s garden.

Suitable for all ages (must be accompanied by an adult). Booking required:

Kids visit RHS Gardens for £5 or less!

We’ve reduced the cost of garden entry for kids aged 5 to 16 years to just £5, and under 5s go for free. Adults can also save up to 25% on garden entry when booking tickets online in advance.
