For the ultimate summer’s day out you won’t find better than the Rose Weekend at RHS Garden Rosemoor. Not only are our two dedicated rose gardens bursting at their seams with buds and blooms but there are also tours, entertainment and a floral-themed Craft and Food Market to enjoy!
Explore the rose themed artisan craft and food market in the airy Garden Room where beautiful handmade items created by some of the best crafters and producers in the West Country will be available to buy to take home. Browse for clothing, jewellery, homeware, cosmetics, and edibles from exhibitors ranging from fine artists and craft specialists to soap and candle makers and local delicacy producers.
Go for a wander through the gardens to admire the roses which will be in their prime this weekend then kick back and let their scent wash over as you listen to some live music and birdsong on the Winter Garden lawn (you can even grab a takeaway picnic to enjoy!) Performers include:
Friday 21 June Darren Sturgess, 11am–12noon and 2pm–3pm
Saturday 22 June Rosanna Ball, 11am–12noon and 2pm–3pm
Sunday 23 June Della, 11am–11.45pm and 2pm–2.45pm
Make sure you taking in the beautiful exhibition of artworks by British sculptor Paul Harvey in the Cool Garden then head on down to join taster sessions of garden painting and drawing with North Devon Arts in the Cottage Garden, running from 10am–4pm each day that weekend.
Learn more about these charismatic plants by taking in a rose talk scheduled for 12noon and 2pm on the Friday and Saturday and 2pm on Sunday or join a general garden tour starting at 11am each day (on a first come first served basis).
Gardeners can treat themselves to the perfect rose for their gardens from our huge selection in the Garden Centre, or improve the ones they already have with food and aftercare products. However you decide to spend your day, you are sure to leave refreshed!
