Children can enjoy a range of fun all-weather activities during half term at RHS Garden Harlow Carr – create bug hotels, get your hands dirty and learn how to compost or embark on an eco-hunt around the garden. Youngsters will learn about the health properties of plants as well as the benefits of being outdoors in the fresh air.

The daily garden trail runs from 16 February–3 March.

Saturday 23 February:
Sweet Pea Workshop: 11am–4pm in the Plant Centre (The National Sweet Pea Society)
Come and have a go at sowing some seeds to take home with you and also get advice on these wonderfully fragranced plants.

Sunday 24 February:

Craft Workshop: 10.30am–12.30pm & 1pm–3pm in the Learning Centre – Sunley Room
Make your own Eco Superhero face mask from recycled household items.

Tuesday 26 February:
Garden Detectives: 11am, 1pm & 3pm in the Learning Centre
The Garden Detectives will be putting their wacky spin on tales of real-life Eco Superhero’s.

Wednesday 27 February
Craft Workshop: 10.30am–12.30pm & 1pm–3pm in the Learning Centre – Sunley Room
Make your own Eco Superhero face mask from recycled household items.

Thursday 28 February
Make a mini wormery with The Yorkshire Rotters to take home and learn how these superhero creatures help around the garden.

Friday 1 March
Craft Workshop: 10.30am–12.30pm & 1pm–3pm in the Learning Centre – Sunley Room
Make your own Eco Superhero face mask from recycled household items.

Outdoor workshop: You can also make your own bug house using recycled materials in our outdoor workshop from 10.30am–3pm.
