Designed for a young couple living in a new build, the garden provides a private reading corner, a place for nature to ‘wash’ the senses. The design is a cohesive contemporary space that depicts a ‘snapshot of memories’ inspired from generational gardening. It uses plants and acquisitions, as ‘old friends’ narrating these memories. These include childhood flowers, herbs, hardy geraniums and a tree given to celebrate a new home.
A creative stepping stone path, ‘The Three Generations of Man’, leads to a quiet corner ideal for catching the evening light and enjoying the scent of aromatic herbs. The garden is supporting Diabetes 16–25.
