Volunteering principles

We will ensure that all volunteers have a great experience and their time is well spent. We will value and maximise the vital role that volunteers play in helping the RHS to achieve its strategic goals

  • Volunteers support our charitable aims, enhance the visitor experience and enrich all that we do
  • Volunteers bring a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience to the RHS and help us focus on work and projects we might not otherwise undertake
  • Volunteers bring passion, enthusiasm and energy which motivate colleagues and lift morale
  • Volunteers connect us to the local community, enabling us to reach wider audiences, expand our outreach and be a more inclusive, diverse and accessible organisation.
