RHS Partner Gardens FAQs

In addition to the five RHS Gardens, RHS members can enjoy free RHS Member days (at selected times) to more than 230 RHS Partner Gardens in the UK and overseas. For nearly half of them, this means free entry whenever they are open.
 
The RHS Partner Garden scheme is a wonderful way for members to visit various independent gardens. RHS Partner Gardens give this benefit for free to support the charitable work of the RHS.

Many are well known, some less so, resulting in a stimulating mix of styles that visitors should find interesting throughout the gardening year.

• For Joint memberships, free RHS Member days to RHS Partner Gardens applies to one member. This is the person with an asterisk (*) on the back of their membership card
• For Joint Life memberships, free RHS Member days applies to one (primary) member

• Free RHS Member days to RHS Partner Gardens does not apply to guests
• Free RHS Member days does not apply to special events such as NGS open days, plant fairs etc. unless otherwise stated
• Group entry – so that smaller gardens can be part of the scheme, free entry does not apply to members travelling as part of an organised group. Please contact the garden in advance to discuss group visits

As independently owned gardens, not financially reimbursed by the RHS, opening times, prices and periods of free entry are subject to change. Please call ahead or check opening dates and times on Find an RHS Partner Garden online before travelling.

Remember, you will need your membership card to gain entry. Scans or photographs of membership cards are not accepted. However, if you joined online or by phone your joining email is valid for one month from issue until you receive your actual membership card.

Please note: Free RHS Member days does not apply to special event days such as plant fairs, exhibitions or shows unless otherwise stated. Not all gardens offer free RHS Member days on Bank holidays. We always recommend checking the garden’s website directly before you set off.

No. Free RHS Member days applies to the garden only. If you would like to visit any adjoining palace, hall etc, a separate entry charge will apply.
