RHS member benefits

Discover the many benefits that an RHS membership brings, from inspiring your own gardening to enjoying wonderful days out at gardens and shows

Great value for money

From your monthly magazine The Garden to unlimited expert gardening advice, RHS membership includes a myriad of benefits to give you gardening support and inspiration all year round. And if you plan to visit the RHS Gardens, your membership will pay for itself in just 2–3 garden visits alone.

RHS Gardens

Visit our five beautiful RHS Gardens – Wisley, Hyde Hall, Rosemoor, Harlow Carr and Bridgewater for inspiration all year round. Individual membership gives a member and a family guest or two children unlimited visits, and Joint membership gives two members, a family guest and up to four children unlimited visits. Plus, get free or discounted tickets to a full calendar of events.

RHS Partner Gardens

From grand estates to cottage-style gardens, enjoy free entry to more than 230 independent RHS Partner Gardens across the UK and overseas. These gardens generously support the charitable work of the RHS by offering our members free RHS Member days at selected times (for joint members, entry is free for the main member only).

RHS The Garden magazine

The Garden magazine, available digitally or as a paper version, contains a selection of exciting features for all RHS members, whatever their gardening interest. The magazine includes the latest developments in horticulture, fascinating gardens to visit and RHS news such as shows, plant trials and the way our charitable work can help people’s lives

RHS The Garden app

Our app is available via the App Store for Apple devices and Google Play for Android devices. It includes regular RHS updates, a chance to listen to the award-winning Gardening with the RHS podcast, a monthly version of The Garden, exclusively for members, and access to the latest RHS Members’ Handbook.

RHS Gardening Advice

RHS Gardening Advice offers support to RHS members online, by phone, in person and by post. A dedicated team of horticulturists provides tailored guidance on everything from houseplants to pruning, all based on scientific research.

RHS Flower Shows

Our RHS Flower Shows offer a fabulous day out with wonderful plants, gardening inspiration, shopping, talks and workshops. Get access to special members’ days and discounted tickets on public days for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival and RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse.

RHS Members’ Seed Scheme

The RHS Members’ Seed Scheme is an exclusive opportunity for members to buy seeds harvested from the diverse plant collections at our RHS Gardens. UK members can order up to 10 packets of seed online using their MyRHS account from November to March each year. Dispatch of orders takes place between December and April.

The RHS Members’ Seed Scheme 2025 is now closed.

RHS Libraries

RHS members can borrow books, e-books and audiobooks free of charge from the world’s finest horticultural library collections covering plants, gardening, design, botanical art and more. Whether a beginner gardener or an expert, we have something for everyone to read, learn and grow.

Courses and workshops

Through adult-learning courses and workshops at our RHS Gardens, expert tutors can help teach new skills or brush up on existing knowledge. Courses cover four main areas – horticulture and garden design, arts and creative, traditional crafts and photography. They run throughout the year, with discounted prices for members.
