After last year’s successful Horti-CULTURED fashion show run in conjunction with Manchester Fashion Movement we are enhancing the event in 2025. MFM challenges the narrative of how we view and treat garments today. This sustainable fashion event called Horti-CULTURED, Growing a Sustainable Fashion Future, will take guests on a journey from seed to garment and self-expression.

Bear with us while we iron out the details of this event, but it will include a market and talks about the detriment of fast fashion to the environment. RHS Garden Bridgewater have been working with Textiles and Fashion students from Pendleton College. They have designed and produced garments that can be worn by members of the Bridgewater Horticultural team, who will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk highlighting this work alongside professional models celebrating independent northern creatives who champion better fashion habits.

The fashion show will be held in the evening after normal garden opening hours with an opportunity to sit and relax while enjoying drinks and light refreshments from the Stables Cafe. Enjoy the show around Garden Cottage and watch the sun start to go down towards the end of the evening. You can bring your own outdoor chairs, picnic blankets and your own refreshments.
