RHS Level 3 Qualifications (pre-September 2023)

Our original RHS Level 3 qualifications were designed to be studied by professionals already working in horticulture. These have been reviewed and updated with substituted versions now available

This page is for candidates who are registered on our former RHS Level 3 (pre-September 2023) qualifications. Assessment for these qualifications must be completed before the last scheduled assessment opportunity, see our ‘Changes to RHS Qualifications’ page. No new registrations are permitted on our former RHS Level 3 qualifications.

With the exception of RHS Level 3 Garden planning, Construction and Planting. Final registrations for RHS Level 3 Garden Planning must take place before 31 March 2024.

Theory and practical | Diploma in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture

Learners who successfully complete all necessary units for all three of the Level 3 Qualifications – practical horticulture, principles of plant growth and principles of garden planning – will be awarded the RHS Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture
