Glow at RHS Bridgewater

Join us in 2025 as our Glow winter illuminations return to RHS Bridgewater in Salford with a trail that’s more magical than ever before. Bring family and friends for an evening of enchantment, where sparkling lights bring the garden’s plants, landscapes and architecture to life, where every path leads to a new discovery and the spirit of the season glows brighter than ever.

Tickets must be booked in advance – book early to secure the date and time of your choice.

What to expect at RHS Glow illuminations

Step into an enchanted world

Looking for winter events in Greater Manchester? Step into a garden that comes alive with twinkling lights and festive cheer at RHS Bridgewater Glow.

With brand-new captivating light displays and seasonal sounds, see much-loved areas of the garden transformed into a botanical winter wonderland. It’s a perfect festive evening out for family get-togethers, date nights and catching up with friends.

Aglow with festive magic

Wander through the spectacular Weston Walled Garden, where each garden space is transformed into a glowing gallery of light and shadow, and prepare to be dazzled by a brand-new installation in the Paradise Garden.

Don’t miss spectacular light shows by the Moonlight Gardener with mind-blowing effects to wow the whole family. Discover new surprises around every corner and picture-perfect moments where you can become the star of the show.

Food and drink

Make it the ultimate festive evening out with a selection of tasty food and winter warmers available to buy. Stop by the Stables Café for pizza, hot drinks, mulled wine and festive treats. Enjoy a choice of warming plates in the Bridgewater Café, including Bratwurst sausages, jacket potatoes, pasties, sausage rolls and more.

Back by popular demand, refuel your festive glow at the marshmallow toasting station. Grab-and-go food is also available from the Shepherd’s Hut and Tuk Tuk.

  • Times: 4.30pm to 9pm (last entry 8pm)
  • Pre-booked tickets only: All visitors including members, guests of members, carers and under 5s require a pre-booked Glow ticket. You may arrive at any time during your booked time slot and can stay as long as you like within opening times
  • Please bring: your booking reference number (and RHS membership card) with you on the day
  • Mobility Hire: Please book mobility scooters and wheelchairs in advance of booking a Glow time slot to ensure availability
