About the garden
The New West End Garden is a modern interpretation of the gardens and architecture of a London square. It is designed as a communal garden, providing a green oasis all year round in the heart of the West End, and utilises environmentally positive technology, including energy-harvesting systems for residents, workers and visitors. The garden also features Pavegen's innovative tiles which convert footsteps into electricity and data.
This calm space has lightweight trees providing shelter and privacy from the surrounding buildings. Colourful low-level planting around the perimeter invites visitors into the garden.
