A Royal Celebration by Hillier welcomed visitors to the Great Pavilion, marking the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. At the heart of the entrance stood impressive corten-steel staircases surrounded by beautiful floral displays. This year, the planting took on a bridal theme, with lots of white florals to honour the true essence of all that is gardening, combined with a celebration of British royalty. Colour was added with flowers chosen for their regally purple hues. Some of the stars included Lavandula stoechas ‘Regal Splendour’ and ‘Tiara’, Cotinus coggygria ‘Royal Purple’, Agapanthus ‘Bridal Bouquet’, as well as Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Kanmara Splendour in Champagne’ for a real celebration. As Hillier is the UK’s largest grower of semi-mature trees, the entrance exhibit featured Hillier trees on both sides.
