Biophilia is the human tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature. In this garden, created from a biophilic concept, a direct connection with nature can be felt while spending time inside the building.
In Japan, a ‘hanare’ is a small house separated from the main building; here the hanare is considered a place of healing and calming.
Light and shade streams through the lattice, that symbolizes traditional Japanese culture, and the sound of the waterfall surrounds the hanare.
The message of the garden is that our busy lives make us forget the importance of believing in ourselves and knowing who we really are. Accept the past, live in the present, and look forward.
