Christine is a botanical, garden and landscape photographer and garden historian. She has spent extended periods in Japan photographing Kyoto’s temple gardens, Hokkaido’s snowscapes and bonsai masterpieces. Christine writes about 17th century English gardens and runs tours and courses on English and Japanese gardens.

Benn, based in London, is from a farming family in Durham, England. Growing up in a working agricultural landscape sparked a captivation in the plant life that surrounded him. That fascination persisted after moving to the city where he continues to document the flora in his world.

Acacia Cyclops

South African-born photographer Fran, while documenting the Cape Floral Kingdom, was drawn to the alien Acacia Cyclops trees, destined for removal to protect the region’s flora. She sought an ant’s-eye view to capture their twisted trunks, isolated against the sky, evoking the delicate beauty of Japanese paintings.

Lachlan lives within walking distance of Audley End House and has been a volunteer there for the last year. This has provided regular opportunities to photograph the gardens and the gardeners who have been a real inspiration. Michele is a London-based artist whose international career in commercial, editorial and fine art photography spans three decades. In this series he explores the natural cycles of the growing season through the kaleidoscope of flora from the gardens of Goodnestone Park, in Kent. Michele’s multi layered and vibrant arrangements advocate the importance of sustainable and local farming and floriculture.

Sabine Tillie-Davidson

Interconnectedness Of Life

Sabine is an artistic photographer based in Hampshire. ‘Interconnectedness of Life’ draws from her experience as a veterinary surgeon. She pursues multiple creative interests, but photography is her passion. Portraiture, whether of people, fauna, or flora, is Sabine’s favourite genre, though she will happily put her creative stamp on any photographic style. Sabine is currently working on a book of photo-poetry.
