Following the success of our community food-growing feature in 2017, EGG – Eco Green & Growing – offers a festival feel with music, talks, demonstrations and interactive art all around the theme of eco gardening, food growing and community.
The central interactive space is the giant Tree Marquee made from FSC-certified sustainable timber. An urban space showcases innovative ways to grow food in a city environment, while a rural space promotes rural crafts and ways to provide food from the countryside.
A heritage fruit orchard completes the line-up, with a painted and planted tractor celebrating flowers from the farm. The whole feature is run on a solar generator.
