Bovis Homes Family Garden

Show Gardens

Did you know...

  • This realistic garden gives plenty of ideas for people who have moved into a garden on a new housing development - including storage drawers under a low stone seat
  • Screening along the perimeter is from pleached hornbeam hedging, with 1.8m clear steams and then a 1.5m flat screen of leaves, providing ample screening from neighbouring properties
  • Planting features popular and easy to care for plants such as yellow-leaved Japanese maples, Alchemilla mollis, heucheras (including selections such as bronze-red 'Marmalade' and yellow-leaved 'Lime Marmalade') and plenty of alliums for vertical interest

About the Garden

Designed for a property within a new housing development in the Cotswolds, this garden has a contemporary feel with spaces for both children and adults to enjoy.

Cotswold stone walling with built-in seating replicates local materials while sawn sandstone paving adds a contemporary look. The space includes a corten steel kinetic sculpture and water feature with a lawned area for young children to play.

Grasses, white flowers and varying colours and textures of foliage are included in the planting together with pleached hornbeams that provide privacy.
