Funding can also come in the form of products-in-kind from suppliers, who can in turn be credited at the show for their donation to your garden. External funding can either be gained through working with a sponsor, or sometimes designers self-fund smaller gardens as part of their marketing and PR activity for the year.
There is no set route to finding sponsorship for a garden at an RHS Show, but we recommend following these steps:

Create an example of a design as a 3D image that can be sent to sponsors to help them envision the opportunity.

Put together a presentation to include this image, and also a description of the design that is tailored to the company you are approaching.

The presentation should also include: a page on the benefits of sponsoring a garden at an RHS Show (see the Why Exhibit documents under the show headings).

); a page about you including a photo and career highlights; and a page or two showing examples of your previous work.
