Before your group applies, please see the information below to learn if you’re eligible.
What type of groups can apply:
- The RHS Community Wellbeing Grant is open to community and voluntary groups including registered charities, social enterprises, community gardens and allotment associations anywhere in the UK
- This includes, but is not limited to, community gardening groups registered with RHS programmes including, Britain in Bloom and It’s Your Neighbourhood
- The lead organisation will need to have its own bank account. Our grants cannot be paid to individuals
- The grant is also open to projects that are run as a partnership
Before the projects start, applicants will need the following in place:
- Relevant safeguarding policies
- Completed risk assessment of the site/and or activity
- Data management policies, particularly if you are collecting sensitive data from participants
- Monitoring and evaluation of participants’ wellbeing (or planned for a new project)
- Public liability insurance
- Relevant land permissions, if required
Please note: The RHS can support successful applicants by providing templates and guidance in key areas.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from:
- Mainstream education providers
- Organisations working outside of the UK
- Groups that are currently in receipt of an RHS Grant
- Projects that will not be starting until after 2022
