Join the fun this May half term at RHS Garden Wisley, at our Family Gardening Festival with Burgon & Ball.

With family craft activities, a garden trail, exciting entertainment and interactive theatre.

Garden admission applies. Free to RHS members and children under 5 (activities are included unless marked *).

Family Garden Trails

Saturday 25 May – Sunday 2 June
Mon – Fri, 10am – 6pm
Sat – Sun, 9am – 6pm (Last entry to garden 5pm)​

Explore a year of family gardening: handy tips on what to do and when, allowing everyone to get gardening together

Recommended for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

Skinny Jean Gardener - The Extreme Gardening Show

27 and 28 May
10.30am – 11.15am (quieter session);
11.45am – 12.30pm; 1.30pm – 2.15pm; 2.45pm – 3.30pm   
                
In the Hilltop Garden Room

Lee Connelly, also known as the Skinny Jean Gardener from CBBC Blue Peter and BBC Teach, is back to breathe new life into gardening, growing your own, and wildlife with his stage show, Extreme Gardening. Taking gardening to uncharted territories, he’ll be sending tomatoes into space, firing potatoes from cannons, and even skydiving while sowing sunflowers!

Recommended for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult) FREE event but please book tickets

Muddy hands, green fingers

Thursday 30 May
10 minute sessions between 10.45am – 11.55am and then between 1pm – 1.55pm

Tool safety and soil preparation session, where the kids learn to use a rake to smooth the ground and make a drill using demonstration plots.

Suitable for ages 6+ (must be accompanied by an adult). Sessions at 2pm and 2.15pm are suitable for 10+ years. FREE event but please book tickets

Pif Paf - The Bee Cart

30 and 31 May
10.30am – 11.15am; 12.15pm – 1pm; 2.15pm – 3pm        

Bee Guides, Bombus and Borage, have left the Hive with the Bee Cart – their mobile world of interaction and surreal but true information exploring all things Bees and Pollination. The Bee Cart is an exciting, accessible walkabout theatre piece.

Suitable for all ages (must be accompanied by an adult)
