The Great Garden Adventure with Shaun the Sheep

Join the fun and frolics with Shaun this summer as he learns top tips about how to grow scrumptious fresh food from the garden to keep him in great condition

Follow Shaun’s journey of discovery and learn some amazing things along the way at RHS Garden Wisley this summer. Create your very own clay Shaun the Sheep, meet him ‘in the fleece’ and lose yourself in the straw bale maze. Join us for hands-on nature workshops and plant some insect-friendly flowers. 

Find the Flock by hunting down the three decorated sculptures of Shaun in the garden and meet him ‘in the fleece’ to get a cheeky selfie.   

Garden admission applies. Free to RHS members and children under 5.

Planting and craft workshops

Daily, Saturday 20 July – Monday 26 August
Drop-in sessions from 10am – 4pm, Clore Learning Centre

Come along to the Clore Learning Centre to plant a seed or get creative with our insect-inspired craft activities.

Straw bale maze

Daily, Saturday 20 July – Monday 26 August
Find your way through our straw bale maze on Twin Oak Lawn and play Hide and Sheep with Shaun and his friends. Get your grown-up to bring a phone, download the Hide and Sheep app and see if you can spot Shaun. 

Walks and talks

Every Tuesday, 30 July – 20 August
10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm, meet at the Clore Learning Centre
We’re going on a bug hunt... and you’re invited too. Join one of our Education Officers for a walk around the garden hunting for the insects that live at RHS Wisley.

Muddy hands, green fingers

Every Thursday, 25 July – 22 August
Please pre-book sessions, meet at Hilltop
Meet at Hilltop and walk to the Allotments to get your hands muddy while learning more about gardening.

ZooLab insect workshops

29 July – 2 August and 12–16 August
11.30am – 12.15pm, 1.15pm – 2pm and 2.30pm – 3.15pm, Capri Marquee at Wilson’s Wood

Quieter sessions at 10.15am – 11am and 3.30pm – 4.15pm

Join Zoolab to meet some of our most important insects. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Come and join Shaun on his adventure though the garden as he learns what is needed to grow the best fruit and veg to keep him and his friends in tip top condition.

Meet Shaun the Sheep ‘in the fleece’ to get a cheeky selfie! Head to the cherry tree avenue on the Welcome Landscape and keep your eyes peeled for Shaun at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2pm*

Hide and Sheep

Find Shaun by searching for him with friends and family in the ‘Hide and Sheep’ zone and use Aardman’s free interactive, augmented reality app to bring Shaun to life in 3D, pose for a photo opportunity and complete the stamp collection. See how to download Aardman’s augmented reality app below.

Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep Hide and Sheep A.R. Trail app can be downloaded from the App Store, Google Play or alternatively, scan the QR code at the garden. Once downloaded, enter the RHS Wisley location code 1904 and follow the markers at the garden to interact with Shaun in augmented reality.
