A celebration of Dahlias at Wisley Flower Show
The first three days (Tues 3 – Thurs 5) of the National Dahlia society show will be dedicated to the NDS national show with their incredible displays made up of over 100 different classes and thousands of dahlias, which has now become an integral feature of Wisley Flower Show.
This year, for the first time we are really excited to be holding ‘A celebration of Dahlias’ in the marquee for the final three days of the show (Fri 6th – Sun 8th). This will feature displays from growers and floral artists who will be sharing their own unique stories, with beautiful and imaginative displays and huge a number of garden and cut flower varieties. Among the exhibits will be a brand new seeding display, with many new and unique varieties, beautiful floral arrangements, a fascinating display of dried dahlias that will last for years, or come and take your picture in our dahlia covered throne - perfect for creating a wonderful memory of the show.
Our exhibitors will be on hand all weekend, to chat to visitors, talk about how they try to grow sustainably, deal with different growing conditions but most importantly sharing their absolute love and passion for dahlias with our visitors.
Amongst our exhibitors will be:
Philippa Stewart – AKA Just Dahlias (featured on Gardeners World in 2023) will have a wonderful display showing how she collects and dries dahlias, and the beauty of a dried specimen that will last for years.
Chelsea 2024 gold medal winning floral designer Nicola Hill will be creating a fabulous dahlia inspired throne perfect for posting on social media and creating a wonderful memory of the show.
