Join us for a journey into the ancient practice of Qigong, within the stunning surroundings of the Wisley Glasshouse. This class is designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, and focuses on gentle movements, breath control, and meditation.

What is Qigong? Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movements, breath control, and meditation to cultivate and balance the body's vital energy, known as "Qi."

Suitable for ages 18+ only

What to Expect:

What to Bring:
  • Loose comfortable clothing for moving
  • The class is standing so either barefoot or soft soled footwear

The Concious Cabin has provided the following contraindications for Qigong:

Qigong is generally considered safe for most people, but there are some contraindications and precautions to keep in mind:
  1. Psychotic Disorders: Individuals with a history of psychotic disorders should avoid practicing Qigong without professional supervision, as the practice can sometimes exacerbate symptoms
  2. Severe Physical Conditions: Those with severe physical conditions, such as advanced heart disease or severe osteoporosis, should consult with a healthcare provider before starting Qigong
  3. Acute Infections or Injuries: It's advisable to avoid practicing Qigong during acute infections or immediately after surgery or injury until fully recovered
  4. Pregnancy: Pregnant women should seek guidance from a healthcare provider and a qualified Qigong instructor to ensure the practice is safe for them
Please arrive by 4pm at the glasshouse for registration - Completion of a Health Screening form is required before participation. Once session starts no late comers can be admitted. 

Always listen to your body and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any concerns before starting a new exercise regime.
