Celebrate the emergence of spring with a day of colourful photography of the beautiful flowers and gardens at RHS Garden Hyde Hall.

You will photograph vibrant green leaves, ferns unfurling, buds opening, radiant flowers in pinks, blues, oranges and yellows accompanied by birdsong from our resident robins in the garden.

This course is a gateway into creative techniques for photographing flowers and gardens. There will be two short classroom sessions, a guided photography walk around the garden and lots of time to explore and practice techniques. A basic understanding of photography is useful, however most of the techniques can be adapted to different camera systems from DSLR, Mirrorless, Bridge and Compact System Cameras.

Marion will pass on her experience gained in the RHS Portfolio category of the RHS Photography competition and International Garden Photographer of the Year.

This course will cover both the technical and creative sides of photography and can adjust the content depending on the level of experience of participants.

Tutor: Marion Sidebottom
