Understanding your soil is the first step towards successful gardening and this course is designed to get your soil working better for you. Learn about soil properties and functions at RHS Garden Hyde Hall, the importance of  organic matter, composting, the role of bacteria and fungi and much more. Discover the texture and chemical balance of your soil and learn how you can optimise it to promote happy, healthy plants.

​Please bring a sample of soil from your garden (about a trowel full) in a sealed bag for testing.
