Led by an experienced member of RHS Garden Hyde Hall’s horticultural team, you will learn what the correct tools for pruning are and how to use/maintain them and work hygienically; discover the correct techniques for pruning and what plants we can prune in summer, looking at deciduous and evergreen shrubs and perennials and how to Chelsea chop – a pruning technique to limit the size and control the flowering season of many herbaceous plants.

This is an outdoor demonstration and walking workshop – please come dressed appropriately for the weather, with suitable footwear and clothing for outdoor activities.
