Join Head of Site, Ian Le Gros for a specialist talk at RHS Garden Hyde Hall. This free talk will cover the history of the gardens, as well as discussing our future plans as we approach the 30th anniversary of Hyde Hall. The talk will conclude with a Q&A session.

In 1993, the Robinsons donated Hyde Hall to the RHS to ensure its future survival. At the time of the handover the Robinsons, who were both in their 70s, were made honorary fellows of the RHS to mark their achievement in creating a garden of national importance.

During the first few years of RHS management, efforts concentrated on creating an infrastructure that could cope with an increased number of visitors, along with the creation of many new garden areas including the renowned Dry Garden.

The garden contains an eclectic mix of horticultural styles from traditional to modern and continues to delight and inspire more than 300,000 visitors a year.
