May half term: The Great Garden Game-a-thon

Let the games begin! Join us for our first-ever Great Garden Game-a-thon at the RHS Gardens this May half term

Get ready for a week of fun, laughter, and friendly competition at the five RHS Gardens this May half term. From 24 May – 1 June 2025, gather your family and friends for an unforgettable day of exhilarating games and activities in the great outdoors at RHS Bridgewater in Greater Manchester, RHS Harlow Carr in Yorkshire, RHS Hyde Hall in Essex, RHS Rosemoor in Devon, and RHS Wisley in Surrey.

Included with normal garden admission; free to RHS members and children under 5. Children aged 5–16 go for just £5!

We’ve reduced the cost of garden entry for kids aged 5 to 16 years to just £5, and under 5s go for free. Adults can also save on garden entry when booking tickets online in advance.

RHS Garden Bridgewater

24 May – 1 June 2025

Get ready for some giant fun at RHS Garden Bridgewater and compete against your family and friends with a range of giant games. Can you navigate your way out of the meadow maze? Have a go at circus skills, try out the veg olympics and discover family games for all ages and abilities.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr

24 May – 1 June 2025

Embark on a giant gaming adventure at RHS Garden Harlow Carr this May half term, including giant Jenga, dominoes and Connect Four. Join the Garden Detectives from Monday to Friday for more fun as they challenge you to a family sports day with games and activities.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall

24 May – 1 June 2025

Come along to RHS Garden Hyde Hall for a week of fun and games! Have a go at giant games, try not to get lost in the grass labyrinth and even try the vegetable long jump in our veg olympics. There’s also storytelling walks for an adventure around the garden filled with inspiring tales.

RHS Garden Rosemoor

24 May – 1 June 2025

Grab your friends, family and competitive spirit and head to RHS Garden Rosemoor for a week of giant games, traditional games, a lawn maze and sports day. If you need a rest, head to the indoor board games hub – you may discover a new family favourite.

RHS Garden Wisley

24 May – 1 June 2025

Come and play this May half term at RHS Garden Wisley. Get lost in a lawn maze, play giant garden games and compete against your family and friends. There’s also a garden bingo walk, storytime and the chance to make your own noughts and crosses game.
