If you want to learn more about the wild bees in your garden, then this short course is just for you. We'll introduce you to some of the charming bumblebees and fascinating solitary bees that bring our gardens alive and pollinate our plants. Learn about their nesting needs and the power plants that make a difference.

With a little understanding of the needs of your garden bees you can make powerful plant and gardening choices to transform your plot into a true bee-friendly, pollinator paradise. Please note, this event does not focus on honeybees.

Jean Vernon is an award-winning writer and is the author of The Secret Lives of Garden Bees. Jean is on a mission to unravel, demystify and explain the intricate balance of nature and to introduce everyone to the familiar and unfamiliar bees and other pollinators that live in our gardens. Her second book, Attracting Garden Pollinators was published in 2022.

This workshop includes a guided walk in the garden, so please come dressed for the weather.
