Be engulfed by a romantic feast of vibrant flowers growing at large in this walk-through cut-flower garden. A canopy of vibrant sunflowers and dahlias thread through the space intertwining and creating a tapestry with sparkling millet and panicum grass. Large flower beds and vintage galvanised dustbins and dolly tubs are filled with avenues of sweet peas climbing up wigwams of foraged silver birch.
The air thrums with visiting pollinating insects. This garden’s planting deliberately shines a light on flowers grown for cutting and at the same time promotes biodiversity. At the back of the garden, ornamental millefleur hens are at large in a honeysuckle-draped hexagonal hen house.
Workshops will be available in the Cut Flower Demonstration Tent, situated alongside the garden.
