About the garden
Brilliance in Bloom is a platform for craftspeople in small organisations to showcase their skills on a huge stage. Every element of the garden exhibits the talents of designers and makers, working on tight budgets, to make beautiful spaces for people to enjoy. The space demonstrates what can be achieved when people draw on their natural talents and unite to barter, borrow and re-use the resources to hand.
The planting is a riot of fun, using Helenium and Achillea in fiery colours, interspersed with striking Imperata ‘Red Baron’ for structural and visual texture. All the plants and materials will be re-used and distributed to maximise the garden’s positive impact and minimise waste.
Thanks also to Friends of Dorking, Mears Group, The Palm Centre, Rolawn and Dyofix.
