Accessibility at RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse

Arriving by road
We welcome car-free visitors to RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse. It’s easy to reach us by train, bus, bike and foot. Plan your car-free journey at Good Journey.

Arriving by coach
If coming via a privately booked coach, the coach will drop you off in the yellow zone which is a 5 minute walk to the show entrance.
Arriving by train
The nearest train stations are Meadowhall Interchange and Elsecar Station.
  • There will be shuttle buses available from Meadowhall Interchange that run to and from the showground.
  • There will be shuttle buses available from Forge Park which is a 7 minute walk from Elsecar Station.
  • All shuttle buses will run every 20-45 minutes. Timetables to follow.

Arriving by taxi
Follow signs for BLUE car park and once inside Wentworth estate, follow signs for the YELLOW zone / Taxi drop off area.
Access to showground and buildings
Temporary walkways are laid in some areas of the show which are wheelchair accessible. The show takes place on parkland, so some areas have uneven terrain and ground conditions may not be ideal, especially in inclement weather.

For access through the house, there is an access ramp to the right of the front of the house and a smaller access ramp at the back entrance. Both are wheelchair accessible.

Inside the house, ground floor access is wheelchair accessible, and the first floor is wheelchair accessible via a lift.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas. Water bowls for dogs can be found at both visitor information points.
Accessible ticket bookings
While the RHS is not able to provide carers, entry is provided for one carer free of charge accompanying those visitors whose disability necessitates their support. This ticket must be requested at the time of ticket purchase.

Parking
For this show, there will be onsite parking and park and ride car parking available.
  • Onsite parking: This is free of charge but must be booked in advance. To access the onsite accessible parking follow signs for BLUE car park – situated off Hague Lane. Once inside the Wentworth grounds, follow signs for accessible parking. Please ensure your blue badge is displayed when parked. 
  • Park and ride parking: This is free of charge but must be booked in advance. All locations will have shuttle buses that will operate to and from the showground. Timetable to follow. Locations that park and rides will operate from are below:

Mobility vehicles and wheelchairs
Visitors are welcome to bring their own personal mobility scooters or wheelchairs to help them get around. Please book these in advance to guarantee availability.

A fee of £20 applies for wheelchairs and £40 for mobility scooters. The collection point is located in the accessible car park.

Toilets
Accessible unisex toilets are located at all 3 toilet blocks. A HDU will be located at the toilet block by the north / blue car park entrance.
Hearing impaired
Hearing loops are installed in the main stage and the florals talks area.
Visually impaired
