The garden is designed to highlight the work and services provided by Moodswings, a charity dedicated to helping people recover from mood problems. The planting in this garden is predominantly dark with silver undertones. Plants include black-leaved elder Sambucus nigra f. porphyrophylla ‘Eva’, purple-leaved Fagus sylvatica ‘Atropurpurea Group’, Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’, silvery Artemisia ‘Powis Castle’ and Athyrium niponicum.
A swinging pod, the central feature, sits on a circular dark patio. A dry slate stream, jagged at the outset eventually flattens to a still pool.
