The garden was inspired by the discovery of a poem on a building in Adlington Gardens that is dedicated to friendship.
The garden is a homage to the eclecticism of the early English landscape garden. The serpentine path leads to a classical niche, set in a mossy glade and framed by mixed borders. It is both contemporary in its planting and strongly evocative of the 18th-century English garden.
