RHS Chelsea Sustainable Garden Product of the Year 2022

With a focus on sustainability, the competition aims to highlight the best environmentally-friendly products for consumer gardening needs

Winner announced

Peatlands are the world’s largest carbon store, as well as valuable ecosystems for both plants and animals. It’s incredibly important that peat stays in the bogs, and not in bags of compost.

That’s why the judging panel for RHS Chelsea Sustainable Gardening Product of the Year was delighted to announce the Dobbies range of peat-free John Innes 1, 2 & 3 composts as the winner of the 2022 competition.

Dobbies’ John Innes 1, 2 & 3 composts were assessed under the Responsible Sourcing Scheme for growing media and have been rated ‘A’. This means they are considered to have the lowest impact on the environment.

The compost range, along with all of the finalists, were on display in the Great Pavilion at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022.
