Babylon Beats designed by James Whiting of Plants by There and The Little Botanical reimagines the Hanging Gardens of Babylon through a 1980s lens, exploring multi-dimensional planting with houseplants displayed on every level of the space. The studio flat is transformed into a shrine to houseplants and the elements, using light, sound, scent and texture to create a truly immersive experience.
Visitors are invited to take a houseplant pilgrimage and will be transported to another realm. A large open-sided deck will feature a vibrant feasting table lavishly decorated with ornamentals, and a water feature where visitors can pay their tributes to the elements.
Key plants: Dypsis lutescens AGM (areca palm), Howea forsteriana AGM (kentia palm), Nephrolepis exaltata AGM (Boston Fern), Philodendron Imperial Green, Strelitzia nicolai ( white bird of paradise).
