The Sensory Retreat is designed by Pippa Jameson of The Sensory Home and Beards & Daisies to support neurodivergent thinkers by exploring the power of indoor plants in enhancing mood and reducing stress. Drawing from Pippa’s own experiences with autism and dyslexia, as well as parenting a neurodivergent teenager, the design challenges the negative labels often placed on individuals who often struggle in environments that don’t support their cognitive needs.
The studio retreat features five sensory zones – focusing on smell, touch, taste, sight and regulation – allowing visitors to experience first-hand how plants can create a more calming and supportive space.
Key plants: lavender, lamb’s ear, chocolate mint, fountain grass, boston fern
