This remarkable garden with its plantings of Japanese species including Acer, iris and Enkianthus surrounding a shallow but crystal clear pool. Above which is constructed a contemporary pavilion.

Carefully placed rocks, encrusted with mosses and planted with bonsai conifers, directed a spectacular waterfall into a shallow pond lined with paddle stones.

At the garden
The Kyoto residence of Japanese emperors inspired this garden. That garden could never be attacked, and therefore possessed neither moat nor wall to protect it.This open garden contains the beauty and peaceful feeling of history and expresses the communal spirit that has allowed the imperial family to continue for two millennia.
