Meet the designer of The Wildlife Trusts’ British Rainforest Garden in the All About Plants category at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025
Zoe is an emerging talent in the garden and landscape design industry, based in Southwest London. Through her company Zoe Claymore Designs, she specialises in creating bespoke residential gardens and planting schemes that stand out for their personal and sustainable approach.
Drawing on her background in research and psychology, Zoe designs spaces that suit their natural environment and architectural vernacular while reducing carbon impact, and also have deep emotional meaning for their owners. Each garden is designed to last, inspired by an emotional connection unique to the client, reflecting their personality and fostering a lasting bond with nature. Her goal is to create spaces that are not just beautiful and environmentally sound, but truly meaningful for each client.

Zoe says: “A deep personal connection with plants and a love of creating drew me to become a landscape designer. After going through a difficult period, plants provided a safe, healing connection and have helped me massively. I want to share this experience of healing by creating gardens that foster a similar bond with nature for others, helping people connect to themselves, nature and to friends and family through good design and sustainable choices.
“My garden design style is not defined by a single aesthetic but by a tailored, client-focused approach. Drawing on my background in research
and psychology, I design spaces that are visually, ecologically and materially connected to their surroundings, while being emotionally
meaningful to their owners. Each garden is unique, reflecting the client’s
personality or organisation’s ethos. All are crafted to last in harmony with
nature, supporting a deeper connection to create a meaningful place.”
