Meet the designer of The Grand Appeal Garden at RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2024
Suzy Dean is a Bristol-based garden designer and co-director of the Ammil Garden Design studio. Suzy completed a diploma in Garden Design at the Bristol Garden Design School in 2022 and since then has balanced her new career alongside her work as a Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. See The Grand Appeal Garden Ammil Garden Design aims to create beautiful, sustainability-minded gardens and has previously created a Sensory Pocket Planting exhibit at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Festival. Suzy was inspired by this experience to create a full show garden at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival in aid of the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children’s charity, The Grand Appeal. Her role at the hospital has given her the opportunity to work alongside the charity as a doctor, seeing the vital work they carry out. Now she wants to use her design skills to help them continue to support children with serious illnesses and their families.
